What is Comet Cash?
Comet Cash is a currency accepted at all Campus Dining locations that saves you money!! You can pre-purchase Comet Cash (which is loaded onto a declining balance (DB) card or your Student ID, at the Food Service Office. Comet Cash can be used at all food venues on Campus (Comet Cafe, Java City, Snack Shack, and Escondido). Why carry cash or use an ATM to eat on campus - just use Comet Cash!

Why should I use Comet Cash?
Comet Cash saves you money! For any purchase of $50 or more, you receive an additonal 5% Comet Cash Bonus. For purchases of $100 or more, you will receive 10% Comet Cash Bonus. (For example, if you you purchase $250 dollars in Comet Cash, we will put $275 dollars on your account.)

What happens to my unused Comet Cash at the end of the year?
Your unused dollars transfer from the fall to the spring semester if you continue your meal plan. At the end of the spring semester, any unused dollars are not refundable and cannot be transferred to the new academic year.

Can I treat a friend by using Comet Cash?
Yes; Comet Cash is your money, and you can spend it any way you wish - on yourself or others. You MUST be present to use your Student ID so we can ensure that your card was not stolen.

What do I do if my Comet Cash runs low?
Load UP - its easy! You'll know your account balance because the register displays your remaining Comet Cash Balance you after each purchase. You can easily and quickly add to your account using cash, check, money order or credit card by stopping by the Food Services Office (located in The Comet Cafe) to make your purcahse.
