What is Comet Cash?
Comet cash is a form of credit that is prepurchased by you at the Food Service Office. This can be used at all food venues on Campus (Cafe, Java City, Snack Shack, Pavilion and Escondido). After you purchase the Comet Cash your Student ID is used as a Debit Card against your purchased Balance. This way you do not have to carry cash or go to an ATM when purchasing meals.

What is the Advantage of Comet Cash?
For any purchase of $50 or more you recieve an additonal 5% Comet Cash Bonus. For purchases of $100 and above you will recieve 10% Comet Cash Bonus. Example: you purchase $250 dollars in Comet Cash you recieve $275 dollars on your account

What happens to my unused Comet Cash at the end of the year?
Your unused dollars transfer from the fall to the spring semester if you continue your meal plan. At the end of the spring semester, any unused dollars are not refundable and cannot be transferred to the new academic year.

Can I treat a friend by using Comet Cash?
Yes; This is your money you can spend it any way you wish. You must be present to use your Student ID so we can make sure your card was not stolen

What do I do if my Comet Cash Dollars run low?
Load UP! You'll know your account balance because the register shows your Comet Cash Balance you have left after each purchase. If you run low, you can add to your account using cash, check, money order or credit card. Simply go to the Food Services Office (located in the Comet Cafe) to make your payment.
